Major problems tonight at work. Someone forgot to switch on the free access number.

People were near rioting in the newsgroup. Apparently annoyed about having to ring in on the pay number.
Don't these people remember anything? And thats its not that long ago all internet access was paid for?
Anyway I answer a few posts about the swearing. Then I notice a new thread.
Its by that person who couldn't get any web pages to work.
They want to know how to get an IP address. I notice the question has already been answered by another customer. I post a reply thanking the other customer for helping.

January 12, 13 2000.
Two days off work. Super.
There's no where to go round here though midweek. So I go to the local pub.
Thats where a lot of the staff go for a drink.
I finally ask someone what's wrong with the person who used to do the newsgroups.
Well, you should have seen the place go quiet. A couple of people went white and looked really worried.
I finally got it out of someone. He's just got a touch of depression and the doctor has suggested rest. Nothing serious at all.
