Diary of a Internet Support Worker.

Fat bob?

January 26 2000.
So much work so little time.

Early shift today. Its quite nice getting into work and having a moment to chill out.
The phones have been busy today. People wanting refunds. I refer them to the Payment section, who will in turn tell them to ring here. There's no supervisor in today - away on a training course.
Had a peep in the newsgroups today. They're still out there. Don't any of them have jobs to go to... And how do they afford to pay for the calls during the day?
We've had the radio on today. Normally the supervisor doesn't let us have any music on. Its quite fun to type answers to the newsgroups in time to the music. Thank god I can do 60 wpm cos they've been playing rock tracks today.
Someone has been asking for the Mornington Crescent Newsgroup to be added to the news feed. Its there, and I told them so too. Later I noticed they've been playing Mornington Crescent in the newsgroup. I don't understand the rules at all. In fact I'll tell them off for being off-topic. See how they like that. I do that just before going home.
