Doctors Lunchtime soap from the BBCI've watched this on and off for absolutely ages. It is a soap about a UK based doctors practise. The doctors in it, their patients and the illnesses and life traumas of both. The most senior Doctor in it is played by Christopher Timothy - he plays Dr Brendan McGuire, a recovering alcoholic who's been married three times, twice to the same woman. His current wise, also his first, is Julia McGuire who is played by Diane Keen. The recptionists have tended to come and go. Catrina (Katrina?) was one who was into 50's dresses and was really fun and a lovely character. Dr McGuire was thought to have helped her gran with assisted suicide, and she left not long after that. The doctors practise split up at one point and Dr Mark Eliot and Dr Helen Thompson formed Best Practice. After months of storylines they merged, yet retained the extra buildings as separate practicises. Many story lines have been based around one of the dcotors being a police surgeon and attending at the local police station. The current storyline is that someone has blown up the surgery injuring staff. Greg is starting to think its an insurance job because Mrs McGuire has just lost £20k to a conman. We reckon that it was actually Ria (Dr Jack Ford's ex-wife) who's a nutter ... as Julia would have recognised the cars in the carpark and not done anything with people inside. Whereas Ria would have known that Jack and Helen's cars being outside meant they were both inside. They seemed to have escaped serious injury by being under a desk at the time.
Other past actors:Natalie J Robb - Dr Jude ... She was a great character and appeared to have been involved in a murder in the dim and distant past although the guy she and her sister thought they'd murdered turned up alive and well.
