TV Star in Wooden Leg Drama

Top TV Star Carol Voderman, 67, become embroiled in a news story bound to shock the Nation to the core.

The GrinandTonic Newsteam heard today from a source who preferred to keep himself anonymous that the darling of day time, Ms Vorderman has had a wooden leg for some time.

Unavailable to comment

Ms Vorderman, star of countless day time tv programs, was unavailable for comment as we couldn't be bothered ringing her agent to find out. Why spoil a good story with the truth.

Our source, Mr Twice-Nightly himself, claims that Carol's wooden leg is often the reason for much amusement at the filming of countdown, but studio audiences are sworn to secrecy not to divulge the dreadful secret.

Gambling Accident

Mr RW told us that the reason for Carol's intense secrecy over her wooden leg is that she feels terrible about how she got it.

Ms Vorderman got her wooden leg after a gamble went wrong. She had said "I bet you my left leg that I can work out that sum in less than 15 seconds", but shockingly she failed and in order to not renege on her gambling debt she was forced to have the leg amuptated.

Probably the reason she couldn't work out the sum was her challenger picked 6 bigs numbers, something Carol is keen to disapprove of on the show.

Star Carol has appeared on many tv shows, in fact one fan said they were horrified to find that they'd actually managed to watch a tv program she didn't appear in. Mr Cheshunt later stated that he had in fact been confused and that Carol had indeed been in every tv program he'd watched for the last 5 years.

Leggy Antics on the show

Carol is a laugh a minute with her wooden leg and is often just out of camera shot doing silly tricks with her wooden leg to amuse and entertain the audience.
Our source denies any rumour that she does this just to make it look like people are laughing at Richard Whitely's jokes. Richard is a fantastic man who is incredibly funny said our source.
